《Feminism is for Everybody》 by bell hooks 存在待看清單非常久，但沒有中文版又略貴，就這樣一路拖到 bell hooks 在 2021 年底過世，聽完轉角國際 daily podcast 中編輯佳綺的介紹後一鼓作氣收聽完畢，甚至立刻下單英文電子書，只有在這種事情上才會充滿行動力 XD 本來該是 2022 第一噗（因為是去年最後一本書），但放到現在發倒也挺適合 bookaudiobookebook
直觀上我們總是把女權主義理解成一種「也可以」式的男女平等。 他可以從政掌權，她也可以。他可以經商致富，她也可以。 後來她變成了Ta，貌似囊括了更多性別多元的主體。但對於bell hooks來說，這些「也可以」式的男女平等邏輯正是建立在種族、經濟的種種特權之上的。然而對於中心的仰望總是伴隨着對邊緣的暴力。所以對所有人都受用的女權（Feminism is for everybody: passionate politics），是永遠站在邊緣的（Feminist theory: from margin to center）。

this society accept and perpetuate the idea that it is acceptable for a dominant party or group to maintain power over the dominated by using coercive force.
Women and men must oppose the use of violence as a means of social control in all its manifestations: war, male violence against women, adult violence against children, teenage violence, racial violence, etc.
And it is especially vital that parents learn to parent in nonviolent ways. For our children will not turn away from violence if it is the only way they know to handle difficult situations.

女性主義並非一群憤怒的女子意圖對抗男性或者仇男，不是要在現有的體制下搶奪父權紅利，而是結束性別歧視與因此產生的壓迫與剝削。
這真的是小事，不過台灣的習慣用法應該是「女性主義」，「女權」聽來很中國（也算是個簡單明瞭的辨別）。小道群友則提醒女權可能出自日文，不過以日文來說，女權與直接用假名外來語拼音的 feminism 仍是不同概念。

也因此，女權最好的位置是邊緣，酷兒最好的位置也是邊緣：「酷兒並不是與誰同枕的單一。酷兒關乎一個與周圍格格不入的自我，如何打造和尋找一個空間生存和綻放。」而愛，是這個空間的養料。

但當我進一步詢問對方是從哪邊聽說女性主義，才發現多數人所知道的幾乎是三手資訊，大多以為女性主義者是一群憤怒的女性，終極目標是想變得像男人一樣。
因為這能點明這場運動無關仇男，問題在於性別歧視，而我們所有的人──無論男女──打從出生開始就生活在這樣的框架下，因此女性的性別歧視可能就跟男性一樣嚴重。這並不是為了找藉口正當化目前父權主宰的社會，而是要強調不能把女性主義簡化為兩個性別之間的對抗。

bell hooks 並認為將之稱為「家庭暴力」彷彿隱約暗示這是「家裡」的事，代表其中還有親密的關係存在，（相較於發生在外面的暴力）沒有那麼嚇人也比較不那麼殘暴，但事實並非如此，且問題的根源還是在父權。

體罰就代表有權力的人，可以侵犯沒權力的人的身體界線。
這本小書不長，用字也不難，在去年年底讀到真的是蠻暖，很推薦有機會翻翻看，有朝一日可以出中文版就更棒了
