I adopted a cat from the St. Paul Humane Society some decades ago who hid the day he came home and ate and peed at night. He finally came out at the same time I was upright after a couple weeks. At night, he would sleep on me, but he disappeared before I got up

I don't think so. I have food and litter from Oscar who did not have a special diet. I bought her a toy. My best friend has catnip in her garden. I have aluminum foil to crumple into a ball...nothing better. I don't have a lap quilt for her, but already it is clear that she does not like being under a blanket.

Mine love to lay on top of soft blankets, they literally get excited and rush over to get on me when I pull one over my lap or whatever XD but only one likes to sometimes go under one.
