Hometown FB can be so irritating at times. There was a fire, 1 dead, three life-flighted to Fargo, two of them children, and 1 child in local hospital. The reporter did not name them. So there are 50 some comments, most of them a prayer emoji. A few people asked who was hurt/died? Somebody spent their time replying to each who? with listen to the news story.

It's funny how things change. I remember years ago when there were all these avatars with a thigh gap that birthed the name pony rider. Now you seldom see a thigh gap, but you do see avatars with thighs that could comfortably contain their entire head and torso. To each their own, I just marvel at changing fashions.

It is so annoying to live across the street from people who mostly live outside their house. They're always on the porch or in their driveway or sitting on their cars and they talk so loud. When I woke up this a.m. I was in a lot of pain. It was 6:30 am, so I thought, I can get a little more sleep. So I woke up at 2 p.m. and now 8.5 hours later, I am falling asleep while doing my column.

So, my pain docs have told me repeatedly that while pain objectively varies in intensity, it is always just pain, but we interpret it as stabbing, cutting, burning, stinging, etc. subjectively, but it's really just pain & how we experience it is subject to our pain history, cultural experience, and so on.
