Not going to lie, the free uploads on Premium Plus are now tempting to me (nothing else is for a paid account, really). Uploading everything at 2K is killing my L$ balance.

I can really only justify it if I cancel a bunch of twitch subs and I don't really want to take money away from hard working creators to give it to an American tech company, I'll be honest. :/

I was a premium member for years and years, way back in the day. I downgraded to a free account because I had a $ transfer go south and the support was rude and dismissive of me.

I'd never been treated like that before by any platform. That's coloured my experience with SL ever since. I do like the platform and I'm happy to spend money in it on creators! If I didn't, I'd just AI or morph my ads instead of using other folks' work and crediting it!

Anyway it'll end up being about $50/month with the exchange rate in CAD so that's a no from me for now.

It’s a lot of money though. I don’t pay for any other game subs so it’s easier to justify. Cancelled most of my streaming too. Own old versions of software so I don’t sub to photoshop or office, and I get my books and music from the library. It all adds up. I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to pay for yet another thing.

Yeah if you pay PP annually it's less. US is 20.75 a month (so 30 cad) Plus your stipend increases to 650 a week, so 650x52=33800 linden which is another 135 US a year (sure it's a credit in lindens) but that's 11.25 per month, SO really you're paying total 9.50 bucks (US) a month. I think my math is correct here...I think.

Anyway, I ended up going for it, I figure the peace of mind of uploading without having to budget my L$ balance AND making mistakes (L$50 adds up) AND the premium sandboxes are all appealing to me. Plus, who knows, maybe I'll enjoy decorating a little house.

Yeah if I get back into things, which I'm very much considering, I'll probably do so too. The mistakes alone when doing batch sets is a lot.

I f'ed up the alpha channel on 5 Genus 4K lipsticks (and each is two textures). So I wasted L$500 just on that. It really adds up.

the free uploads are entirely why i went for it- the free mesh now means i've been fucking around with things, and i'm really enjoying the freedom of being able to upload things that are just in a random state and see what happens. the free texture uploads have also been really convenient and freeing- i don't feel as much like i need to make "everything

perfect" before i go for it, since if i missed something, i'm not out anything replacing it.
