Been noodling on Undead types - in broad categories

So it's largely divided by: 1. Are they infectious? 2. Do they need to feed on the living in some manner 3. Are they intelligent/self aware 4. State of the body (Preserved, Decaying, Absent)

and honestly just having about 6 broad types based on the combination of these four traits: Vampire, Ghoul, Zombie, Lich, Skeleton, Ghost with all the other undead you can think of falling under one of these umbrella categories

absolutely not perfect but something I can see undead hunters doing for ease of picking out the right stuff to fight

(also losing their shit at a client for not being specific enough
