Still waiting. They're saying we might have to get off the plane because the wait is now indefinite

They told all of us waiting in line about delayed or cancelled flights to go to a specific gate, and then when we got there, they led us out the emergency exit to back before security. I also tried to see if I could rebook online while in line but it didn't give me any alternatives. Currently waiting at the service desk here for answers and help.
