I cannot describe how much I hate the people who dump their pics in 1000 groups. If a group is for airplane pictures, keep your fucking porn off it. If it's for waterfalls and beaches, I don't need to see your ta-tas

They can close their groups without deleting, just don't permit more submissions. They turn into trash

a lot of sl flickr groups are just abandoned.. when i quit flickr i passed my adminship to others or closed submissions, i hate abandoned flickr groups

some though i kinda wonder if they passed away during covid because a lot of abandoned groups have admins who haven't posted on flickr since 2019/2020

Perhaps. I think people need to identify who takes over because if they just give up adminship it goes to the next longest member. Imagine my surprise of finding myself admin to several groups...that I promptly left.

yeah i was admin of a lot of groups that were passed to me like that, and well i did the same cause i was leaving flickr and i have no time to pin down random people to take over. but the ones i started or took over from a friend, i passed to another friend or closed them down.

I still admin the SL Dark and Moody group with a few others. It goes in waves of people looking at pics and moderating. I fooking hate when it's like LOTD and Pose or blogpost pics. Instant deny. Lots of zombie groups out there tho and if I see someone has 100+ groups in their photo, most times that's going to make denial easier.
