[Manga] ...you know i didn't expect "cute girls all living together in an apartment and causing Shenanigans except they're all accurate and painstakingly researched depictions of warrior archetypes from different eras across history" to be a concept that has legs but it works???
pixie lovemail
it really helps that at least half the manga is the author's excuse to geek out about history

Unpleasant Bug
This is really fun so far

Same author also has this:
Ryuu to Yuusha to Haitatsunin - MangaDex
Love Snake Kaja
It has some trappings of modern Japanese litrpg tropes like levels and classes and such, but is honestly more a vehicle for geeking out about various developments in medieval history.
Love Snake Kaja
Like, the levels and classes are just loose trappings for that.

Also the main character is a postal worker.
Love Snake Kaja
Her status as basically a pagan elf makes problems for her too.

OH MY GOD YOU READ THAT MANGA.
Jaydee
I absolutely loved it. I'm a massive history buff, and that manga was a fecking riot to read. To this day I have the silly hope that it gets made into an anime someday, but it is honestly one of my favorite mangas ever.
Jaydee
A bit sad it had a short run, but I am SO happy it was made. (Referring to A Private Story on Third Street).
Jaydee
Potchecatl being portrayed as a shameless vendor made my day when I read it. I didn't expect the author to portray stuff from my culture, so I was honestly ecstatic to see her in.
Love Snake Kaja
I also like how the author included in their notes the instances when they were being deliberately historically inaccurate.
