I don’t know why but these last few days Yak has been very much in the front of my thoughts but I keep forgetting that he’s gone. I’m expecting him to be upstairs in the bedroom at night waiting for me to come to bed and then I remember. It’s like losing him all over again. Some days it’s just unbearable. Grief is a fickle foe.

Maybe it’s because it’s been hitting me really hard how his closest family have all but abandoned me. I don’t know. It just hurts.

Maybe it’s because of my recent holiday too. I dunno. He would’ve absolutely hated the resort! LOL He’s definitely more of the country chateau type instead of the modern hotel/resort style (like me). He liked charm and character, I like amenities and cleanliness. LOL

Older facilities always seem “dirty” to me, no matter how clean they may be.

hang in there, january is the worst month specially after the "holidays" take the trips if you can even if its just short and close by, at home your mind just wanders in the wrong direction
