8D Coeurls were partly the inspiration for this species, but it was mostly because ... well, I wanted a quadrupedal intelligent spacefaring species and if a species is gonna get that far, it'd need usable hands. Hands used for walking on would atrophy, or have a wrong design... so ... muscular things.

Elephant trunks and coeurl tentacles were the main references, ngl

I usually like uniform lines when using a round tool, because it looks so neat and shiny. Like these ... blorby rounds:

But with a tapered line tool, sketchy doesn't look as weird, so yay c:

(Also being a Very Intelligent Species means they pass the Harkness Test despite being quadrupedal, so they're pettable in all senses lmao)

The dobie pattern is such a good choice here. Love it!
