We're perfectly fine here - but also, we're more likely to be in danger from storms hitting Alabama/Mississippi/Louisiana that ones hitting Florida since we're in the westernmost part of the state. But really hoping those in its path stay safe if they can't retreat.
I'm directly in line with the current track. Ian is just coming ashore now a a maximum cat 4 storm (2 more mph wind speed would make him a cat 5). Our little hutch is due to be slammed some time this evening. Estimates vary in time.
We are in a quiet. No rain - but 29 mph wind gusts. Been raining since wake up until about 15 mins ago (5½ hrs). Stopped fur now - but stawm is coming.
I’m in Miami, we weren’t in the cone. So far so good. We’ve had intermittent gusts and spurts of heavy rain that pass quickly. There is some flooding in areas that usually flood with heavy rains. Happily I haven’t lost power.

- are the cruise port and airport open? Heard anything on the news? I have a friend/client scheduled to return from a cruise tomorrow and a flight back to Maryland.
This is public so you can update all.
