I'd love it if people used the whole "if the heart is beating, it is a life and should live" argument to outlaw eating meat. Because last I checked, both animals and zygotes have about the same level of self-awareness. Actually, zygotes have less self-awareness and less personality.

also wasn't there something about how the ultrasound machine fakes the heartbeat anyway? Like at what point is it a heartbeat if it's faked by a machine? (for human fetuses)

IIRC at 6 weeks, there is NO heart yet. Its not developed enough.

what about those births that can cause harm to the mother. My sister had this happen to her, her baby died in utero and she had to have it aborted.
