I saw episode 1 of Super Gals last night and my thoughts return to the most super of all the gals, Kotobuki Ran

this absolute 2001 anime energy queen

unabashedly girly but still a crass piece of shit

hates cops, steals fashion accessories from creepy boys

gets launched into the sky by slapstick action, lands on someone's motorcycle, knocking the guy on the back seat off

it's her motorcycle now

they barely question it

I would never question her certainly

for being straight, she's astoundingly clearly a lesbian

I've seen an episode of that and she really shouldn't be straight

it was a weirdly charming show

i love super gals

ran gives me the impression that one of the writers for the show knew several lesbians in high school and absolutely did not know they were lesbians

that's a great way of describing her

I was rolling my eyes for the first half of the episode and weirdly invested for the second half

it was a manga first so probably that person?
