Yes, exactly. Maintenance is needed on everything. Also, diversification is good. Wind, water, solar, naturally occurring gases and heat sources, all should be considered as ways to work WITH the planet to create energy rather than working against it.

What I read is more like "OK, we need 1000 sqare feet of solar panel to cover our consumption so we need 1200sqft to cover for weather damage"
