also heading out to yet another house this afternoon, but i have never successfully gotten a good picture of those guys because they're zippy little things
he's very exuberant and loves trying to jump up on people, which is a problem considering how big and strong he is whenever we pass by someone on the road i have to shorten his leash as much as possible and prepare to brace against potential pulling
his current owner is amazing with him; even though he's not perfect she's still made so much progress with him (she has professional dog training experience)
he started out life as an under-socialized, under-exercised backyard dog who lived next door to a friend of hers, and she talked the old owner into giving him to her lmao
he's a huge sweetie and i can't believe the number of neighbors around here that have approached me and been like "do u feel safe walking him?? isn't he aggressive? he looks like a rottweiler!!"
he does have a loud, deep bark, and he'll bark back at other dogs who bark at him; i suppose him barking sounds more ~serious than idk a yapping schnauzer
My Sam was a black lab/border collie mix who got the lab size and the border collie coat, and people constantly mistook him for a swiss or bernese if they weren't really familiar with the breeds. He had a full white collar, not the blaze those breeds have. But otherwise it was a totally understandable mistake
