How are y'all doing?I'm making an executive decision to get out of my funk. I've got a film talk today, the Mariners are in the playoffs, a week is long enough to wallow in... whatever's been wrong with me.

So I had this little window next Tuesday/Wednesday where the weather and my schedule were gonna work for a camping trip. And I just got offered a gig Wednesday morning...

[TV] I didn't need an(other) Alien prequel but one thing : Earth is doing better than most (cough star trek cough) is maintaining an aesthetic/technology that doesn't clash with the original. This looks like it COULD exist in the same world.

[film] I loved "One Battle After Another" and it's exactly what I needed given how angry I still am about "Eddington." See it in a theater if you can.

I know this is all a long shot, but if I have to make some kind of videos to promote my podcast, what ... should I be making? I have clips for episodes up but...

Okay need to get myself back on track. I'm home, I have auditions to do, a class to write by the end of October, two more due in the new year, a podcast to get out, and more gigs to solicit.How do I do this, again?

Hi everyone! I am alive and enjoying my trip through the parks of Utah, with previous stops at Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island and Denver. I don't have the energy/time with signal to cross-post photos and travelogue here right now but I've been to Arches, Canyonlands, and Natural Bridges and points between so far.

My brother has been Struggling ™️ so when he asked me what I wanted from his new 3D printer hobby I said "an axlotl."I got two!

[family] I know my mom is going through some health stuff and I'm realizing Dad's cognitive function is more decayed than I thought, but I've been in tears twice in two days about their misunderstanding of the plan and then not even being interested in the plan I thought we'd agreed upon.

[podcast/patreon] I MADE A SALE! No members, but someone paid $3 to listen to my audio commentary track of the Lon Chaney Phantom. Which means the number of people interested in what I'm doing... is NOT ZERO

[cats] Would love some reassurance that taking Tilda on the plane on Monday won't be a total disaster. I've just dosed her with gabapentin as a test run and will chuck her in the car in an hour or two to see her reaction, but I'm nervous.

Just watching people I know who are definitely not MORE talented than I am continue to get acting job after acting job while I get... one every other year, if I'm lucky.

Need to find some direction for today/this week. I leave on Monday, so I can't take on big projects. I haven't gotten any audiobook offers. I am not Ubering until I fix my car.I could use this time to work on my podcast etc, I just need to convince myself it's "okay" to do work that isn't "paying," even though right now, I don't have any paying work.

Well, I'm leaving town in a week, and I've sent in auditions for every audiobook under 3 hours that actually pays, and I think that's all I can do on that front.How are y'all?
