So back in February, I pre-ordered a figure from a series I'd never seen beyond some mentions on Plurk. This figure reminded me of this ancient OC I had and I figured, hey, it releases in May. It'll be a late birthday present to myself. $7 plus shipping. (Spoilers: no.)

Buy the item from a recommended independent seller. Seller didn't advertise anywhere that they only shipped to the UK. Contact seller after purchase to tell them, hey, shit, can I drop extra for state delivery?

Item released May 1st. Package takes nearly two months to clear customs. Get package today. It's the wrong figure.

So they emailed back, admitted their mistake, and told me I could uh send it back to the UK at my cost to replace the item.

I emailed back with "uh sir that would cost me $17, better solution now."

ask for a refund since it was their mistake.

I have asked for a refund... and they said they would cover the cost of half the figure... or I could just dispute the whole amount with my bank and get back my forty dollars.
