HAHAHA I just got a $47 parking ticket for my $40 dogsitting job. Someone called the cops because my car was not FIVE FEET FROM THE DRIVEWAY. It was the only thing resembling a parking spot I could find within four blocks. sigh
were there signs posted for that though? Not trying to give you a hard time (easy to misjudge distance or miss a sign until after the fact). I'm just asking because maybe you can ask to get out of it?
so there was yellow paint, but since I didn't know there was any actual law I thought it was just an overzealous neighbor. which, yes, was a sign I shouldn't have done it

: I'd look into how much of a hassle it would be to plead your case and maybe try to get out of it, obviously depending on the area etc and how sympathetic you think they'd be. I'd imagine a smaller town/burb would be more likely to cut you slack?
Oh, lol, yeah, forget it. Rich people suck. I'd leave a guilt trip note in the neighbor's mail box though. Like, worded nicely, but basically, hey, just someone trying to get by on odd jobs and I've now LOST money for a job I did. If you had just let me know I couldn't park there, I would have tried to accommodate you. Please think about the consequences...
I wouldn't put anything in their mailbox, bc it's actually illegal for anyone not part of the postal service (or homeowner of the box) to place anything in there. Considering they reported the car already...

: I don't think a lot of people do, any more (or ever? Idk) My mom knows. So I have heard about it when people do put things in our mailbox, who aren't strictly usps.
I'm now parked right in front of the house I'm sitting, and I have to go walk a different dog, so I'm thinking of walking to the dogwalking gig so I don't lose my spot lol.
