HAHAHA I just got a $47 parking ticket for my $40 dogsitting job. Someone called the cops because my car was not FIVE FEET FROM THE DRIVEWAY.
It was the only thing resembling a parking spot I could find within four blocks. sigh

Luke Skywanker : I'd look into how much of a hassle it would be to plead your case and maybe try to get out of it, obviously depending on the area etc and how sympathetic you think they'd be. I'd imagine a smaller town/burb would be more likely to cut you slack?

I wouldn't put anything in their mailbox, bc it's actually illegal for anyone not part of the postal service (or homeowner of the box) to place anything in there. Considering they reported the car already...
