A friend of mine's sister has been in the hospital since October (COVID) but hopes to be released by the end of the month. Can you imagine the bill? I don't believe there is help for co-pays.

Before insurance, my bill for 1 week was 72k. Also, I can't imagine being in the hospital for that long. It's heartbreaking.

It depends entirely on her insurance. Under my plan there is a maximum out of pocket for the year. Period.

holy shit! I cannot even fathom what that bill would be. This is yet another example of why we need universal health care.
