Q1: where do I make my own emoticon pack? A1: Next to "My Emoticons". (1) Click "Select Emoticon(s)" down below plurk input area, (2) click the gear sign on the top right corner, and (3) click the second tab labeled with "Emoticon Packs By Me". Only Premium users can see this tab.
Q2: Do I have to upgrade to premium plan to enjoy this feature? A2: Everyone can install emoticon packs without a premium plan. Premium plan is required for making emoticon packs.
Q3: Do I uploads all emoticons first before packing them up? A3: Yes, please upload emoticons before you pack them up. Emoticons will keep in pack even though you delete the uploaded emoticons afterwards.
Q5: Can I edit the emoticon pack I already shared? A5: You can edit it whenever you need and you can see the update right away. However, the downloaded ones won't change.
Q6: Will the permalink address change after editing? A6: The link will remain the same. However, if you change the thumbnail emoticon, the preview thumbnail of shared links won't update. You might want to share it again.
Q7: Where do I find new emoticon packs? A7: Try searching with key words such as emoticon, emoticon pack or 表符包. The background color of the link preview of emoticon packs is yellow, which helps spotting them from the searching results.
Q8: What's the difference between "Made by ID" and "Created by ID" in emoticon packs? A8: "Created by ID" identifies that all the emoticons in this pack is created by the creator, while "Made by ID" identifies regular emoticon packs.
To be honest, I'd rather have the "new emotes" tab back. Since there's no way to just browse for emotes anymore. This so called "search" option pulls up nothing on the general search bar.
