Heard on Kiwi TV election coverage:
Female newsreader: 'But, as they say, behind every good woman is an... [scoffs] the autocue says "an equally good man"?
[newsreaders start talking over each other]
Male newsreader: '...this is like a 1953 intro, because some women don't have men, some women have women....'

The irony is, of course, that the man was talking over the woman, but their indignance was mutual and well-meaning.
