Kou Kousaka is an ordinary salaryman working overtime in a black company when a totally unprecedented event happens: he dies and is sent to another world.
humans
wow, so unprecedented and original
Walker
Unlike those other isekai novels where the main character decides to be a hero or a demon lord, Koko here doesn’t care for any of that.
Walker
The isekai system rewards his lack of choice with several powers which have never been seen before: the ability to store items in a limitless inventory, immediately dismantle them into materials, and then use them to create something new.
Walker
How will our completely unique hero survive in this new world?

I really want to know who's writing these summaries
Horny on Main
That's excessively generic
Zestium Beam!
it could be a very good isekai but the way it's PITCHED sounds like every bog standard isekai
Zestium Beam!
I
Zestium Beam!
dunno it feels forced
Walker
Certain isekai manga on Mangadex just have these hugely, bitterly sarcastic summaries
Walker
It's a story about a guy who dies and is sent to another world.
I'm sure you're probably wondering what sets this series apart from every dime-a-dozen isekai out there. How does this break the mold? What makes this stand out from the crowd?
The answer is simple: the main character gets reincarnated to another world... without any clothing.
Walker
...And that's it. This is how you can get published in Japan. Not by honing your writing and always striving to be a better author, but writing a story where the main character fights the same goblins and enters the same adventurer guilds but this time with his pork sword hanging out.
Truly a work of art.
Zestium Beam!
ngl that made me laugh but that's cause I iz lowbrow like that
Horny on Main
See I'm curious now but I don't trust anyone but myself or close friends to write that in a way that's not gross
Horny on Main
Not trusting it coming from a dude in Japan
expired milk
It's licensed, even.
Larboard
this just sounds like shield hero without the incel stanning for slavery
Larboard
wait no
Larboard
it's Slime, but with limbs

I feel deep empathy for the person writing these summaries
ex foedere
not even "there's some good ideas in there" level??
star✯break!
I know there was a summary somewhere that ended like "why are you complaining about how generic it is when we all know you're gonna read it anyway"
star✯break!
which, mood
Zestium Beam!
I think gigguk said it best that there are some shows and manga that take herculean effort to watch and read because you have to mentally prepare for it, and the reason why he watches so much trash isekai is because he can turn his brain off and enjoy it all in one go without worrying about it. it's like consuming delicious popcorn.
Zestium Beam!
Like everyone was yelling about Eizoken last season and I couldn't watch it. I wasn't prepared mentally for that journey, and not yet. but I was prepared for Princess Connect Re:-Dive
Zestium Beam!
ReDive

that being said, I give points to the original one you posted up there for having our mc beat someone by clocking them over the head with a chair.

Eizouken was Winter, though. Priconne was Spring.

(Both are great.)
Zestium Beam!
yeah, but the point still stands tho. I can't y'know, just walk in there and watch it. Gotta prepare myself for it cause there's shows and movies and stuff I gotta prepare myself to be ready to watch. same goes for books too
Zestium Beam!
it's why I haven't watched Perfect Blue or Paprika yet either
Zestium Beam!
even though I have copies of both
expired milk
That's true. Perfect Blue especially as it's pretty heavy in addition to the This Is Cerebral Social Commentary factor.
Zestium Beam!
it is so valid in today's society
Zestium Beam!
it's also why I haven't watched Cowboy Bebop either insert shocked gasps here
Zestium Beam!
I'm not READY for that show either
Zestium Beam!
it's kinda like how gigguk hasn't watched FMA yet, or read it. any of the shows or the manga
Horny on Main
I watched the review and I see I was right not to trust it
lucineblue
Zestium Beam! : oh hey that's my entire life.
I AM NOT EMOTIONALLY READY TO DEAL WITH HOW A SERIES WILL AFFECT ME
