微笑著，拉一隻情願的手臂
表示出一種競賽中的友誼。

但假使由於誇張或者沈醉
而比這走鋼絲更狂放一些，
前前後後都充滿了威脅。

別讓步子朝任何一邊滑去， 以至侵入 ‘ 經常 ’，或探進 ‘ 從未 ’， 因為那就是恨，那就是恐懼。

站在狹隘上吧，因為陽光 只是在表面上才最光明； 沒有憤怒，沒有背叛，只有和平。

Upon this line between adventure
Prolong our meeting out of good-nature
Obvious in each agreeable feature.

Calling of each other by name,
