I haven't read that Arthur C. Clarke book, but I love the stuff of his I have read. Which I'll periodically reread, as well. Also, who cares if it's other people's trash, if you enjoy it, good! Plus cheap from the library, so even better, lol.
oh, me too. I think I finally quit after about book... 13? or so. I couldn't keep track of the actual "plot" for all the sex that was happening. Plus too many characters. Bleh.
the were-hyena sounds vaguely familiar, I think the stepkids were earlier. I got way tf into the story, there were were-lions and were-prey animals (I remember were-swans, or some kind of bird, I'm just going "wtf?" and all sorts of supernatural political alliances...that all had to be negotiated & then sealed w/ sex bc of fucking course.)
But I love really long series. And I think maybe you'd like the J.D. Robb "In Death" series, if you ever see any of those at the library. They're set in a futuristic new york, and it's about a police lieutenant solving crimes. (And also hooking up with the wealthiest man ever who's a known criminal but he's never been caught at it, lol)
The're so good, Sam. There's... some touchy material from Eve's past that tends to come up, more in some books than others, but I even got my mom hooked on them, she binge-read all the ones I already owned in paperback, then went & got the ones I only have on kindle from the library. They're not great to read out of order, but they're... just so good.
I can't remember where I first learned about the books, but Nora Roberts hasn't been one of my fave romance authors. Thankfully I went into the first book without knowing it was her.
sorry I love the series to death, & nobody else seems to have ever heard of itadmire your entire overall haul ahhh
