Elsewhere on social media people are getting angry at Democrats for not voting for impeachment immediately. Let's recall when Bill Clinton was impeached. They took the vote to impeach in mid-December. That was the end of the House's role. No more House hearings. It moved to the Senate where they had a trial the first week of January.

If they vote to impeach, the ball goes to Mitch McConnell. Come on...they need to hold hearings to shift public opinion which right now opposes impeachment. They have to move it to where it is undeniable

I'm afraid you are correct. I understand that people are really frustrated though, it feels like he just gets away with everything.

All the hearings now may not be labeled impeachment, but that is what they should lead to. Only 3% of Americans have read the Mueller Report. The hearings will bring it to life

I think Mueller testifying will be a big thing.

I think impeachment’s a waste of time tbh

I’m much more interested in focusing on 2020

I look forward to Mueller's testimony. I think I'm a fangirl.

The Dems need to find something that sticks but have to stop asking the President about what he did. Facts are facts. Emoluments clause seems very clear - he's profiting from his Presidency. Tiger Woods is a business partner, that's profiting. Let the stink of his tax records make him a liar and tax cheat that is playing the voters.

Not sure he can be impeached at this point, Mitch will insulate him. Mitch plays the long game better than most. He's quiet, patient and shameless on how he quietly ignores the pressure and then does whatever the fuck he wants.

I don't know if Impeachment will fill the coffers of the GOP or the Democrats or both for 2020? There are bigger things at stake, though, since it seems that by ignoring the power of the other branches, the President is breaking the Republic
