what is my life
🌈Chandni🏳️‍🌈
yeah that is why i learned (aaaaages ago) to make them as tga.. with an alpha mask/channel and a black background layer.. i just forgot how to lol
Izzie Bizzie
what chandni said, create a black background layer, make a selection of the stripes layer and then save the selection as alpha channel in the channels tab. then save to tga 32 bits
Izzie Bizzie
tga is handy when you have things like tattoos with sharp edges, with no shadows, no fadings...it will always create an ugly white halo

Izzie Bizzie : thanks much for the tips. these issues are why I still haven't been able to release tattoos and makeup and stuff. big issues that need resolved.

always tga never png...
Allegory
etenaru: png and tga are both lossless formats- no difference in detail. i use tga with and without alpha channels exclusively for textures uploaded into SL, png isn't _really_ designed for it, tga is.
Nimil
^^^ person who taught me tgas were always better for making makeup/skin stuff way back in the day lol
Allegory
(as long as you're paying attention to how it saves, it's easier to save tgas are proper SOLID no alpha as well- png often has a tendency to bring an alpha channel of full white with it so it is a transparent texture when it shouldn't be)
