So update on the kiddo. His shingles are healing nicely thanks to his meds, he's still not eating much, but he's not sleeping forever, so that's good. Also he hates his eye ointment. so that was fun putting on the first time. .

Can you put the ointment on his finger and let him apply it himself? It might be less frightening. When I was in 2nd grade, I was part of a medical study that required a drop of atropine in each eye every morning. If you remember from eye exams twenty years ago, that stuff stings. I fought it, but then Mom decided to try letting me do it myself. It still

sucked, but it was less scary doing it myself.
