It depends who I'm talking to. My mom is just like "I still feel a little bad for you having to go by yourself," so when it comes up with her it's just assuring her that really I don't mind. For other people giving more of a reaction? it's just blunt "well what else am I gonna do? mmm? miss it? nah man"
