Email from landlord. He had ordered us to vacate the premises by Tuesday. I offered Wednesday (scheduled day off).
He says my 3 day trip to "hospital" was just an excuse to break my promise and not move out.
I called an attorney on Wednesday to file an injunction against him to month end. Attorney hasn't phoned back.
I'm on my own on this side.

I worry you have to be rich to get heard. That's how it goes. Next best thing? Contact a journalist.

Can you call or go speak to Legal Aid? Maybe they could help.

Is there an eviction notice? In Mass the landlord needs a court order to actually force you to vacate.

How much notice were you given? And yes, is there a legal aid office for landlord/tenant issues? I have often heard that it is not that easy to evict a tenant, so there might be some hope for you.

Does Universal have an EAP (Employee Assistance Program)? Mine was really helpful when I had to declare bankruptcy. If there is one CALL THEM. They can do some counseling themselves, there's often a free referral for a few hours or initial consult

And then there may be reduced fees if you need more.
