Yes, they are knockoffs (no logo on the handles at all). The brush roll is fairly poor quality and absolutely not made from cotton and hemp like the packet says.

However, the brushes themselves feel really good - better than the Makeup Revolution set I bought to pre-emptively replace them.

The blush brush has a few hairs out of place but is incredibly soft and generally nicely trimmed

it's def nicer than what i was using before (do not buy Royal Techniques brushes). Happy for £3!

Even nice brushes have some random hairs... I'd give them a try, sounds like you got lucky with this one.

Rainbow Volume S Brush Hair Curl Magic Accessory Perm Wave Straig... I also bought this with the order and I tried it out today. It's actually really good, at least on my hair (which has about medium strand thickness but is DENSE and forms webs)
