Winter storm Titan will be picking up the moisture as it comes across the country, and we in Central PA are planning for a foot of snow or more Sun & Mon.

We're going to remember this winter for years to come. And I hope that will be because it's a fluke and not the new normal.

I can't believe they started to name "winter storms".

Been raining steady since 11:15 last night. I am watching the weather radar looking for a slight break so I can walk Moxie.

The Weather Channel started it in 2011. NOAA and the US government publicly frown on it and ask their employees not to use the names

but its hard not to when the local, cable media and even local governments keep using them

The rains are so very needed in Cali, but here's hoping they won't just wash away topsoil and trigger mudslides ...

Just heard from a correspondent in Erie that they've had over 107 inches of snow total -- that's over meters for the Imperially challenged.

we're glad for the rain out here, but it's not nearly enough. We'd need storms nearly every day to catch up.

our water depends on the snowpack in the Sierras.

Yes, the local rain is good for the local reservoirs but we need a good wet snow pack in the Sierra Nevada mountain range and then a nice slow melt.

Home from work in the San Fernando Valley. Really teeming out there water over the curbs. My patriotically-brown unwatered lawn area is loving this.
