Thank you for all your great posts. I always feel a little bit better after reading them. By the way at Tuesday eveningโs wine club, one of the members brought a couple of these, which a friend there in the Philippines had sent to him. I tried some and I and really like it! Itโs delicious. ymmv.

: You're welcome. Some posts are how I feel or what I struggle with. Some I choose with me thinking that there is someone out there who can relate to it. That is a well-loved local chocolate brand. It is specifically liked because of its unique peanut taste.

: You are strong. Please do not think otherwise. You have endured a lot of things including being away from family, striving to express your love against a judgmental society, surviving a toxic workplace daily. You are strong, my friend.
On a more serious note, I think some people hide behind laziness to explain away why they don't feel like doing things, to prevent the suffering they already feel all the time from increasing. If family members think of you as just a lazy bum, they get worried but not as much as if they see you suffering.

: For most people maybe that is the case. I don't feel that way with my parents to be frank. I feel like I always have to move or do chores or I will earn their ire. If I'm just going to be sitting around, it should have to be in the guise of spending quality time eg watching what they want to watch and show appreciation for it. Sorry sad story.
I think for some, that's the point--to make their family see them as worthless. Maybe I don't need to explicitly say why: that they think by having them be seen as nothing more than a lazy bum, their passing will not be as painful.
