Omg that’s DELIGHTFUL. I’m such a sucker for ‘actor 1 imitates actor 2/‘s character’ (with the rare ‘actor 1 imitates actor 2’s character imitating actor 1’s character’)

Also there are some really good little mannerism catches here, Amy gets a lot of them but (forgot his name, itchy trigger guy) as Root going to push hair back that isn’t there is great

YES RIGHT. I really am that person doing the ‘Tumblr Slideshow about POI Based On Exposure To It’ and I think I could get....well honestly probably very weird bits right vs wrong vs not at all... but the names of the main characters I do know at least theoretically

I really do need to just sit tf down and watch it

it is Very Procedural at times, especially in the beginning, but 100% worth it

Procedural is fine too; I kinda like procedurals (Homicide: LotS was one of my intros to fanfic lol) and I def like riffs on them (Fringe kinda, DS9 could be procedural at times...Really liked the one season of the Minority Report tv show, which is probably the closest to POI conceptually...)

POI absolutely riffs on its own procdural roots a hell of a lot

a lot of the one-off victim-of-the-week characters are pretty forgettable imo, but they do a good job of playing with procedural tropes and turning them on their heads (or at least tilting them a bit)

Also when I looked up pictures to throw in here for extra presentation points it gave me Fringe and White Collar among related shows and I went “oh we’re gonna get along fine” and also “you know I do watch a LOT of not quite procedurals”
