Naw, give yourself grace being a new pet dad. Definitely get pet insurance though. Dogs, unfortunately just will do whatever they can to put themselves into harm's way. Even my friends, who've had their dogs for years, get slapped with something like this (one friend had to get emergency surgery cuz their dog got into the trash and ate a peach pit

yeah, it also comes with different personalities, but babies are esp prone to getting into shit. definitely all just part of the learning experience, give him an extra lil kissaroo and he will be just fine
