this morning i ate what might’ve been a very good mandarin orange. inhaled the thing in like 5 seconds. lately, oranges have been so sweet but they break so easily, so my hands get covered in juice before i take the first bite. i think that’s part of the decadence. i tell people i had a really good orange and they can smell the bloody evidence on my hands.
