Having to go back to work after a week long vacation of just being home with the cats and writing (and finishing a novella and a short story for a competition) feels criminal. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Being moved over to outlook also means no more forwarding, so I have no idea what Iโ€™m walking into at work

And also hoping the feeling sick to my stomach is just nerves and will go away once Iโ€™m at my desk.

Vacations never seem long enough after they end. I hope you had good rest and enjoyed your time with your furbabies. Why can't you forward from outlook? You should be able to. The nerves will pass once you are there. Have a great!

going to a job everyday is for the birds.

here's hoping this work week is kind to you

Emily โœŸ : It does, I think part of it also, for me, like that week is the life I'd like to find a way too. Being a full time author, writing as a priority, and not being around the office meant I wasn't around all of the toxic environment. So it's nice, and then anxiety to go back.

Re Outlook - the University blocked email forwarding to non-University addresses. So it won't accept like, a gmail address to forward it to my personal, which was how I kept an eye in case there was a fire emergency that came in. Which, honestly, is probably healthier for me when on vacation.

I can forward individual emails out, but the auto email forwarding to a second address because I don't want to work out of Outlook isn't allowed or even feisable on the University's portion of the program.

I hope you get to feeling better

Going back to work after a vacation like that IS criminal. I'd have nerves too, for no reason, but they'd show up. I hope you feel better and support your dream to one day be a full time writer. You're so talented, and you deserve it. Major hugs.

consider the Outlook stuff a blessing in disguise. as I've said too many times, when you're on PTO and not salary, that means as far as they're concerned at work? you dont exist. you are Shrรถedinger's Lizzy.

that means they have to figure shit out on their own and it's a university problem, not a you problem. this is so much healthier for you

สแด‡แด€สœ ส™แดœแดส~! ๐Ÿฅฝ : the first couple days, my brain had mild anxiety and an itch to sign in. but by Wednesday, it became normal for me to NOT wonder and want to check. So progress? But yeah I've made my self far too available for work, even when on PTO and things.

Black๐ŸŽƒCat : Thanks! I'm starting to, the office is quiet which I think helps a ton

๐’ถ๐’ท๐“‡๐’ถ๐’น๐‘’ : It issss. You never know, did some of the office stuff explode while I was gone? Did something happen and I can' find out about it until now? It's going so so for the most part, thankfully. And also thank you! hugs back!
