apparently adopting three cats in the span of three months has given me a reputation bc two different friends/neighbors have been like "hey, the SPCA recently got massive cat intake loads from two different properties and they're desperately seeking adopters thought you might want to know"
(rip to my initial plans to have all the litterboxes in the basement...... sameen has shown absolutely no interest in going down there and phudu liked the rafters a bit too much)
i tell my cats i have two hands so i can pet two cats at the same time so that's my limit...unless i get cats that will accept feet-petting again i guess

aaaa wait when did the missing/reappearing thing happen; i feel like i remember you having a cat go missing like a decade ago, was that him?
no i believe that was Franz. Odie was my first cat that I adopted when I was 18 and he disappeared when he was about a year and a half old. so he was gone from. 2011(probably just before I started playing in Adstring and showed up a little before Thanksgiving last year. 13 years.
yeah I loved Cloud. he was the most fun but a very adventurous cat. the running theory is someone stole him since he was an indoor outdoor cat and then he got out again when he was older.
3 turned out to be the right number for my household too, but I constantly find myself going "hmmm okay but if I did get a fourth, how much more space/stuff would I need...." fhdjdhd
I have a client who's a retired lady who fosters all the cats the local rescue has trouble adopting out, like ones with special needs or elderly ones or whatnot. Which ends up meaning they're mostly long term fosters. When I stayed with them for a week, there were 19 of them and I love every single one of them, and that lady is life goals for me
