As time goes on and he adjusts to combat, he finds his talent in figuring out what he can get away with, minimize consequences to himself and his allies: Risk Management, you might say

He doesn't Dive much into his Gundam. the first time was forced upon him when he was chosen, and he was barely able to glean how to operate it during his time inside the AI

Porgando Dives only when he finds that he needs new options during combat. His relationship to the Gundam is very professional and distant.

Gundam Yakshab (a reference to Juk-Shabb)

everyone wants Dunewick to prosper, even if there are disagreements on what that looks like.

prior to Yakshab's arrival, Porgando had no real influence on what the prosperity of his nation looked like, he just pushed the papers and received the papers as necessary for the country to function

Yakshab granted him a seat at the table of leadership, one that many felt him unworthy of, himself included

if it ain't clear, the story arc I'm aiming for is the age old "how do those who don't seek power fare when they have been bestowed it?"

Porgando and Yakshab become essential to the national defense of Dunewick

their's is unlikely to be one of the Gundams that becomes part of Aeon.

The Yakshabb's big gimmick weapon are not unlike the Psycho Gundam MK-II's Reflector bits, called Shell Feelers. They can tank typical MS firearms easy and some of the lower-calibur weapons a Gundam may have, but they're real utility is in redirecting and scattering particle beams, fired either by the Yakshabb or the enemy, to attack opponents-

Porgando himself grows into his role as Dunewick's Bulwark, digging his heels in when necessary to rebuke the war-hounds of his nation when there's nothing to be gained from unnecessary aggression. His life is one where stability is a hard-won and fragile thing, and as he deals with piloting Yakshabb and encountering those entangled with the Gundams-

grasping and holding onto stability will be harder and harder to do

he might play a role as someone Tessa encounters when they're down, and he offers the mechanic some platitudes and life advise before they have a confrontation for perfectly avoidable reasons
