honestly what frustrates me about coworker M is that she works at literally one third my speed, while doing things in the most inefficient and ineffective ways, while standing around in view of clients and bosses talking on her phone when I know she can work while taking on her bluetooth, daily just stands around while others work,
Zappy_snapps
and she makes 90-95% of what I make.
Zappy_snapps
and while I do think people should be able to support themselves easily, and that this job is just another labor exploiting job,
Zappy_snapps
it really just highlights how little my efforts are valued and appreciated
Zappy_snapps
by the bosses
Zappy_snapps
like, on am emotional level, they like me and love that I'm a good worker, and recognize the difference K(favorite coworker) and I make,
Zappy_snapps
that does not translate to higher wages
Zappy_snapps
so it's like, well clearly, I could be slacking off relative to my own current and past efforts,
Zappy_snapps
but it's also a thing ingrained in me that if someone is doing something and you can help, you do
Zappy_snapps
completely aside from the payment/job aspect
Zappy_snapps
so it's like, not gonna happen that I'll start just standing around until some one tells me directly what to do
Zappy_snapps
and I honestly would rather be moving and thinking rather than standing around in standby mode,
Zappy_snapps
but I'm also in a capitalist society, and so it feels unfair that we're paid almost the same when K and I are so much more effective
Zappy_snapps
and also that wouldn't feel like a problem if we have universal health care, affordable housing, etc etc
