目前市面上Arkham Asylum(也就是木馬即將出版的阿卡漢瘋人院漫畫)的版本，除了1989年最早的hardcover跟trade paperback之外，後來另在15週年跟25週年、2020年各發了不同的新版。

此處，我就先跳過deluxe跟absolute edition這個區分不講了。主要是要講一件事，就是Grant Morrison書中寫自介的方式到25週年版都還沒換，仍然是用1989年的文字：Grant Morrison began his comics career in 1978, with contributions to the short-lived experimental comic magazine New Myths...

為啥要提這個？因為不難發現，目前木馬即將發的25週年版，書籍販售頁面用的作者介紹大概就是複製了這段話下來。如同上篇文章我所說的，這是一個有瑕疵的拷貝方式，但最根本的瑕疵不是出在拷貝，而是它沒有拷貝完整。

25週年版的這段作者自我介紹有個特徵，就是孰悉Morrison創作歷程的人，會發覺它仍然是用1989年的文字（原書中的頁面下方還有註記這點），這也是為什麼作為一個作者自我介紹，它是紀念意義多過增知性（8年無業是不是事實？當然不是，但作者自我吹噓一下，就原諒他）。畢竟2014年正處於Morrison在DC威望最盛的時光，履歷已經比89年版豐富太多了。

後來2020年新版，Morrison的作者介紹欄整個重寫過，開頭就是直接寫明當下的工作年份了：Grant Morrison has been working with DC comics for more than 30 years, beginning with his legendary runs on the revolutionary titles Animal Man and Doom Patrol...

這個拼接而不是重寫的做法有沒有問題？我想看一下底下這個比對，就會發覺問題出在哪。

目前中文介紹是寫這樣：
他的祕密身分包括得獎無數的劇作家和「反文化」發言人，以及在不少獨立噪音搖滾樂團中彈奏節奏吉他和擔任主唱。他經常在蘇格蘭格拉斯哥生活、工作和睡覺。

1989年(and 25週年版)寫的是這樣：
In his secret identity, he is an award winning playwright and also plays rhythm guitar and sings with indie noise band the Fauves. He lives and works and sleep occasionally in Glasgow, Scotland.

2020版寫的是這樣：
In his secret identity, Morrison is a counterculture spokeperson, a musician, an award winning playwright, and a chaos magician. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Supergods, a groundbreaking psycho-historic mapping of the superhero as a cultural organism.

He divides his time between his homes in Los Angeles and Scotland.

新版的Supergods那段拿掉，我是還好，因為有點敏銳度的人會發覺，問題是出在「Grant Morrison人現在到底在哪」──1989跟2020版的寫法，兩個說法是對不上的。這麼一接是省事，但連人在哪都搞丟了(請不要跟我爭論說至少Glasgow還是在蘇格蘭==)。

我基本上願意相信書中照字翻介紹不會出這種紕漏，但有些事情真的不能省事。因為有愛的讀者絕對是抓得到問題的。
