Sidestep sees no problem with Ranma's behavior here: if people are stupid enough to shower people in attention and food because of looks then they deserve to be tricked.

Sidestep is kinda a unique case, in that being too friendly/trusting people too much had a huge chance of getting them killed at home and they're also like, extremely traumatized in a way that it's kind of hard to describe or fully understand because the real world versions of their story don't have survivors.

I don't know why but the mental image of Kaveh appearing, tranquilizing Ranma, then hauling their ass out with barely a word exchanged is delighting me
