ever read an SL profile and X out and go nope never knowing they are wearing a red hat in RL?

Recently I have been surprised how many very cool people privately express very MAGA ideas and support for Trump. One people I have been getting close to is a Trumper and I genuinely am not sure what to do. Should I cut my losses or ignore RL stuff and just enjoy SL?

The difference in values is too great. Maga people may not themselves be racist but they are perfectly ok with voting for someone who is willing to do real harm to others.

I slowly back away if it’s someone I am somewhat friendly with. I can’t really separate SL and RL that much
