Did you hem by hand or machine? I learned by hand but my son has spent the past several days trying to use the machine to sew a blind hem.

I first tried with the sewing machine, but it showed too much on his shiny, stretchy fabric, so I undid it, and finished by hand. (I had serged the edge, and sewn a first fold ; that I kept.)

Since his leg is rather narrow, it went pretty fast. Much faster than all those skirted I hand-hemmed in the past!
