It does sound like Israel's attack was at least significantly smaller scale than Iran's, and Iran seems to be leaning toward dismissing it rather than counter-counter-countering.

...I'm still not clear about the incident Iran was responding to in the first place, though.

yeah the top article makes it sound like it's not quite so certain that Israel was responsible ("which Iran blamed on Israel"--not that I'd be surprised at all, but the uncertainty on that specific point is conspicuous), and it seems a lot less clear what motivated it
