i think he'd be a bit hard to reach because it would be extremely hard to notice any difference between his usual personality and the suddenly more withdrawn version.

i think he'd be able to tell what is happening, but he wouldn't seek out comfort and he wouldn't really resist. though if anyone wants to stumble upon damian having an argument with alfred's ghost about this, that's probably the best way to notice
