for a lot of things that is the expected pattern. for some things, the amount people buy doesn't change. it depends on the elasticity of the pricing. I did think the fact that they found in most of those cities there wasn't an uptick of people just buying the sugary stuff in the immediately surrounding cities to be interesting.
