I called the CRA and only had like three process improvement thoughts. One of which was that tib shouldn't have had to call because if you update your direct deposit info it should apply to everything

I guess I could see a use for letting the info be separate to put the the CCB in a joint account but then there should be a public facing way to fix it so I'm assuming having these payments land in different accounts is not intended
