your choices are either extremely hot fandoms or niche ones where people are desperate for literally anything

It's mostly audience yea. Plurk is good for customized commissions but it'll be a crapshoot trying to design One Fandom Thing everyone wants

You'd have to advertise heavily at the targetted audience on Twitter and tokyok
