ftr when this is enabled, it does warn you when you join a voice call if someone is streaming/etc and you haven't disabled your voice being included in clips they might make, so you will get a reminder to turn it off if you want to-- i've gotten that notif when hopping in the voice channel to watch
yeah this is a feature where someone using discord voicechat to stream can take clips using discord itself, so unless you're entering voicechats where someone unfamiliar is streaming, you don't have to worry too much anywho
it's not discord randomly clipping your voicechats, it's just consent to let anyone streaming in a vc you chose to be in take clips, so if you only go into private vc it's only your friends who can take clips
IT'S NICE they have a consent toggle and a warning cause no one wants to be recorded w/o permission but ye it's not a like. alarming ai feature or anything. BUT still a good toggle to be aware of
Yeah, this doesn't seem super scary, although tbh I'm a little leery of letting Discord having the clips saved, because I assume it's saved on their servers
yetat leastUser Settings
scroll down there should be a new category calledClips
and it's toggled to on by defaultand then:
and then just toggle it off
